About us
Sciences Horizon Association (ASHO) is honored to present the SPECTROMED congress, as part of the European TUNTWIN project, an international event highlighting the crucial role of mass spectrometry and associated technologies in the advanced analytical sciences. This congress, rich in conferences and interactive workshops, brings together outstanding multidisciplinary experts from various regions, notably the Mediterranean basin, to share their perspectives and innovations.
The main goals of the SPECTROMED include:
-
Highlighting initiatives and strategies that enhance the use of analytical chemistry across various fields.
-
Fostering partnerships in research and technological development in diverse environments.
-
Encouraging collaborations between Mediterranean, African, international researchers, and industry professionals.
-
Providing a platform for doctoral students and young researchers to exchange and share their knowledge.
-
Facilitating interactions between governmental entities and private sector companies.
-
Advancing knowledge dissemination through collaborative research and communications.
-
.Exchanging recent advancements and developments in mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry.
The history of SPECTROMED
The origins of the SPECTROMED can be traced back to the success of the 2017 CAFSAA conference. The CAFSAA conference was notable for its ability to bring together Francophone experts and enthusiasts in the field of analytical chemistry. Building on this achievement, the idea emerged to expand this collaborative spirit to a broader Mediterranean context, specifically focusing on the field of mass spectrometry.
This idea dovetailed with the objectives of the European project TUNTWIN, which aimed to foster scientific and technological collaboration across the Mediterranean region. The project's focus on mass spectrometry as a tool for various applications in science and technology provided the perfect thematic anchor for the new forum.
